At Coxy, we celebrate community, culture, and storytelling. Rooted in the vibrant streets of London, our brand is shaped by the diverse cultural diasporas that form the foundation of today’s urban youth culture.
Coxy takes its name from the surname of our creative director, Cox. This is a nickname that’s been passed down through generations of his Guyanese-British family. Having grown up in and around London, he was immersed in the rich mix of cultures, sounds, and styles that define the city’s energy. That upbringing fuels our mission to create clothing that doesn’t just reflect the streets, but tells the stories of the people walking them.
Through our garments, we aim to honour the characters, communities, and everyday moments that make our culture what it is. Each piece is a narrative and a tribute to identity, heritage, and expression.
But our work aims to go beyond clothing. At Coxy, we’re committed to giving back to the communities that inspire us. In hosting events, workshops, and creative spaces we aim to uplift and unite. Because for us, it's not just about fashion it's about building something real together.
144 BPM
144 BPM pays homage to the early 2000’s Grime era and its youth culture. The collection focuses on London’s Urban areas and the characters that these environments produce. 144 BPM is the standard tempo to which Grime is made, being the heartbeat of the scene. Our collection looks through the lens of young people involved in the “Inception of Grime” era; the Shubz goers, the DJ’s, the rappers and everything in-between. Growing up around London the designers first hand research and influence played a massive role in inspiring the designs.
The FW collection will be predominantly high end experimental casual wear, such as track suits, jackets, sportswear with and a focus on tailored garments predominantly evolving around the schoolboy/ schoolgirl aesthetics.
To maintain the element of nostalgia upcycled garments are utilised throughout the collection for detailing.
